We can help find that missing piece.

>> Nothing gives us greater satisfaction than a contented client and a successful outcome, such as detailed in the examples below.

Indeed, our greatest asset is a strong and growing book of repeat clients who put our stock to work, perform and succeed in a diverse and challenging variety of situations.

We are dedicated to maintaining and rewarding the confidence and trust shown in us by our clients by continually working, sensibly and diligently, towards perfect goals.

We are committed to herd improvement through constant recording and implemention of group breedplan. This, together with exacting selection processes is resulting in commercially superior seedstock we call 'The Huntington Type', reproductively sound cattle emphasising easier finishing and extra growth.

At Welsh Cattle Co we'd love to discuss with you why we believe Charolais and Charbray are right for your herd. Moreover, we'd like the opportunity to show you how the outstanding genetics we have developed to perform in our commercial and purebred operations can mean money in the bank for you.

If you are thinking about future directions, let's get our heads together for a yarn.

>> Extra growth and added softness

Owen and Lorraine Becker and Family

TAROOM, QUEENSLAND

Picture: Taroom breeders Lorraine and Owen Becker with property manager Barry Blower (left)

Having a quality Santa breeding herd, the Becker family introduced Charolais genetics to take advantage of the extra growth and added softness and doing ability that they had to offer.

They are far from disappointed!

Producing mainly grass and crop fattened Japanese trade cattle, the Charolais complement the herd perfectly.

>> Improved heterosis

Greg and Cheryl Coutts and Family

WANDOAN & DIRRANBANDI, QUEENSLAND

Greg and Cheryl Coutts first introduced Charolais over their Brahman x Murray Grey cows for increased heterosis, giving better weight gains, doing ability and fertility.

In more recent times they have introduced Charbrays, maintaining some Brahman content for increased adaptability on their Dirranbandi district breeding property. Having market ready cattle is an added bonus while operating under today's conditions.

>> Increased weight gain and fertility

McTaggart Family

CALUNGBA PTY LTD, MOURA, QUEENSLAND

Using Huntington Charbray (50/50) bulls since the early 1990s to add adaptability and to maximise hybrid vigor for increased weight gain and fertility.

This successful operation targets earlier turnoff of bullocks, repeatedly fitting the heavier Japanese trade grid off both grass and grain.

>> Earlier turnoff for the Japanese trade

Ian and Fred Lamb and families

PARRAWEENA CATTLE CO, BANANA, QUEENSLAND

Picture: Matt Welsh (centre) with Ian and Fred Lamb and Gemma Postle

Specialist bullock producers, the Lambs have achieved an earlier turnover (2 year old off grass) for their bullocks destined for the Japanese trade.

Charolais bulls are joined to purbred Brahman females with some select bulls breeding replacement sires.

Charbray bulls are offering extra hybrid vigor by crossing with the Brahman x Limo and Angus females.

Superior genetics, together with a wealth of experience are paying dividends at Parraweena.
